Biography

  • Didier LEBLOND was born in Rouen, (France) on 26th October 1965.
After some studies in restoration, in a way a world which has given him the arrangement of shapes and colours, he goes to Paris and decides to live there (1985).
His taste for travelling will let him know Europe (Belgium, England, Greece, Holland, Italy, Portugal and Spain), North Africa (Tunisia), and Southern America (Mexico and Guatemala).
But his first trip to Thailand in 1989 makes him discover East-South of Asia and Buddhist religion. Since then, Didier LEBLOND travels through this part of the planet, visiting successively Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Nevertheless, it is above all Indonesia which strikes him. He will come back to this country and visit several islands, where few tourists go : Bali for sure, but also Flores, Java, Komodo, Lombok, Madura, Rinca, Sulawesi, Sumba and Sumatra.
“My intention, through my vision, is about the people who are just travelling on earth, meanwhile the nature remains. I want also to show the ever smiling people of South East Asia who seem more interested by spirituality than western materialism”.
Since 2010, he chose among his several photos some of them to make postcards whose a part of the benefits goes to an orphanage, Benih Kasik.
Also, you can find them in many shops in Bali.
